Job summary

Chartwells School Dining Services K12 is looking for a FOOD SERVICE WORKER for full time and part time roles at GEO Prep Academy in Baton Rouge, LA. Responsibilities

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator.
• Stores food in designated areas following safety procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distributes supplies and utensils.
• Uses approved food recipes to ensure quality and portion control.
• Serves customers efficiently following service steps.
• Resolves customer concerns and communicates with the supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with service standards and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position

FOOD SERVICE WORKER – full time and part time positions at GEO Prep Academy – 4006 Platt Drive Cafe, Baton Rouge, LA 70814. Online applications only.

Schedule & Compensation

Full time schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Part time schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Pay range: $12.00 to $13.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Previous food service experience required. Willingness to train provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly and efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
