Position: Full‑time Food Service Worker

Location: Santa Rosa County District Schools – 6032 Highway 90, Navarre, FL 32566 (online applications only)

Schedule: Full time; days and hours may vary. Detailed schedule will be provided during interview.

Pay Range: $14.00 – $15.00 per hour

Job Summary

Prepares, presents, and serves food as needed, supporting the cafeteria operations in a school setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients
• Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures
• Clean work areas, equipment and utensils
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous food service experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
