Chartwells K12 is hiring for a full-time Food Service Worker in Dayton, NV. The role involves preparing, presenting and serving food with a focus on safety and quality. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 1:30 pm, with opportunities to train and grow within a large school dining program.

Compensation starts at $15.00 per hour, with benefits for eligible associates. Location is Lyon County School District, Dayton, NV.

• Prior food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work (washing, peeling, cutting, seeding fruits/vegetables).
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to/from stations following safety standards.
• Stores food with proper wrapping, dating and rotation.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies and portable equipment.
• Uses recipes and production standards for quality and portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor.
• Ensures sanitation, safety, inventory and cash control compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
