Chartwells K-12 at Clayton High School in Saint Louis, MO is hiring full-time Food Service Worker. Shifts are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with some nights and weekends and online applications only. We offer $15.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time associates.

Ideal candidates have prior food service and POS experience; training is provided as needed. You will prep, portion, serve, handle cash tasks, and maintain safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Prior food service and POS experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform duties in a school food service setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents, and serves food according to standards.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weight and measure ingredients; carry food to/from stations safely.
• Store food with proper wrapping, dating, and rotation.
• Maintain clean work areas and utensils; assist with cash handling and serving guests.
• Ensure temperatures, portions, and service steps meet guidelines.

• Location: Clayton High School - 1 Mark Twain Circle, Saint Louis, MO 63105. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time schedules; Monday through Friday, shifts between 7:00 AM and 2:30 PM. Some nights and weekends included. More details upon interview.

• Fixed Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
