Flik Independent School Dining is hiring a full-time Food Service Worker at Cheshire Academy, Cheshire, CT. The role includes food preparation, serving, and maintaining safety and quality standards in a school dining environment.

Experience in food service is required. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $17.35 per hour, with full benefits for eligible associates. This position offers a stable schedule and opportunities for career growth within Compass Group USA.

• We are hiring immediately for a full time FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.
• Location: Cheshire Academy - 10 Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time schedule. Sunday, 11:30 am to 7:30 pm. Monday and Wednesday, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm; Tuesday and Thursday, 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. Further details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous food service experience required. Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available
• Pay Range: $17.00per hour to$17.35 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
