Job summary

The Westminster School in Atlanta is hiring immediately for full-time Food Service Worker positions. The role includes food preparation, presentation, and service with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Online applications are accepted only.

Pay ranges from $15.00 to $16.50 per hour. Free meals and uniforms are provided at select locations, with an employee referral bonus available. The team emphasizes fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a commitment to healthy student meals.

Qualifications

• Previous knife skills experience preferred.
• Experience in food preparation or serving roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food according to standards.
• Washes, peels, cuts, and portions fruits and vegetables.
• Weights and measures ingredients as needed.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays between stations safely.
• Stores food with proper dating and rotation.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies and portable equipment.
• Follows recipes and production standards for quality and portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Addresses customer concerns and relays feedback.
• Ensures sanitation and safety compliance in all duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
