Morrison Living is hiring immediately for a full time and part time FOOD SERVICE WORKER at Carnegie East House, New York, NY. Location: 1844 Second Avenue, NY 10128. Schedule: full time and part time; Monday through Friday, rotating weekends.

Requirement: prior hospitality and server experience. Pay range: $18.25 to $19.00 per hour. Benefits and career opportunities available with one of the nation’s top hospitality companies.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality and server experience is required.
• Experience in food service preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weights and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and serving temperatures.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.

Job Summary

• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
