Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals for residents in the Crisis Stabilization Unit, following menus and safety guidelines. You will maintain inventory, handle daily census, and ensure proper food storage and sanitation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED; ServSafe certification is preferred, and bilingual English/Spanish is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Compile daily meal census to keep accurate counts of meals served.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment in proper repair and ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • Order and manage food and supply inventory within budget.
  • Clean and maintain the kitchen following public health standards and safety guidelines.
  • Prepare and serve meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; prepare snacks.
  • Record daily temperature logs for freezer and refrigerator; date items as required.
  • Participate in audits and reviews as needed; ensure emergency food supply is available.
  • Complete required online learning courses and check emails weekly.

Job Summ ary:

The Food Service Worker (FSW) will p erform a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving foods and beverages in a timely and efficient manner for the individuals in the Crisis Stabilization Unit. The FSW will maintain knowledge of menus, food products and provide the individuals with correct information when necessary.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Compile daily meal census to keep accurate count of meals served.
  • Ensure all equipment is in proper repair, meeting guidelines.
  • Orders and maintains food and supply inventory within what is budgeted.
  • Cleans and maintains kitchen in accordance with public health inspection standards. Stores food & supplies according to food safety guidelines.
  • Abides by the menus posted.
  • Records daily temperature logs for Freezer and Refrigerator.
  • Writes expiration dates and date opened on all food items as indicated by food safety guidelines.
  • Patriciates in all audits and reviews as needed.
  • Keep emergency supply food as required.
  • Complete essential learning courses on-line.
  • Check email at a minimal of weekly.
  • Serve the individual’s their meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Prepare snacks for the individual’s to consume between meals.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of direct experience performing the duties and responsibilities outlined for this role.
  • Active Servsafe certification.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
