TouchPoint Support Services in Rochester, MI is hiring immediately for part-time Food Service Worker/Cashier positions at Henry Ford Rochester. Location: 1101 West University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307. Schedule is part-time, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends.

As a Food Service Worker/Cashier you will perform prep and cooking tasks, handle cash transactions, serve customers, and maintain sanitation and safety standards. Prior food service and cashier experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables; weigh and measure ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards; distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Store foods in designated areas in accordance with wrapping, dating and food-safety rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to maintain proper quality, serving temperatures and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Perform sales transactions, including entering sales into the cash register, making change, and accepting cards and other payment methods.
• Issue receipts and follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Manage assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring the cash drawer complies with overage/shortage standards.
• Replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
