Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to assemble and serve meals for patients, cafeteria, and catering. You will follow standardized recipes, adhere to HACCP procedures, and ensure proper storage and safety practices.

• Completes food inventory as directed.

• Adheres to federal, state, and local food codes at all times.
• Cleans and sanitizes service items, food preparation equipment, work areas, and food and supplies to hospital departments and patient care areas.
• Assists patients with placement of meal trays and meal-related requests.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Maintains food presentation and quality standards for patient, cafeteria, and catering food services.
• Follows correct operating and cleaning procedures for food production equipment and all work and service areas.
• Assures sanitation, cleaning, and temperature standards are adhered to at all times.
• Food Safety standards are met daily.

Performs all other duties as assigned.Job Description:Essential Responsibilities including but not limited to:Food Preparation: Follows all established and regulatory standards for the preparation, service, and storage of food.Standardized recipes are utilized for all food preparation, with all modifications approved by Executive Chef or a manager.Food production system procedures are followed for all food preparation, service, and storage.HACCP procedures and documentation (logs) are followed at all times.Work areas are cleaned and sanitized as established by department standards.Is able to work independently without direct supervision.
