JOB SUMMARY

This position entails general kitchen work to prepare and serve students meals. Must maintain a good rapport with students, employees and community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals.
• Washing trays, pans, utensils and other kitchen equipment.
• Cleaning the school kitchen and cafeteria after meal service.
• Emptying the trash containers.
• Operating AccuScan register during meal times, including cash and ticket sales. Balancing daily register tapes with cash receipts.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Level One IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Maricopa County Food Handling card and ServSafe certification.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Previous food service experience, preferred.
