Job summary

Trinity Services Group in Florida is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to manage inmate labor and oversee the jail kitchen operations. The role involves supervising food prep, serving meals, and ensuring safety and compliance with guidelines.

The position reports to a Food Service Director and requires working on-site inside a jail/correctional facility, with an overnight shift from 12am to 8:30am. A strong team player with food handling knowledge is ideal.

Qualifications

• We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food and portion to meet nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.

About This Position

$500 BONUS for New Hires!

This position is located in a Jail/Correctional Facility and requires working in close contact with and interacting with inmates.

Shifts available: Overnight 12am-8:30am

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
