Job description

General Food Service Worker

Provides general labor for tasks related to food service and other tasks to ensure smooth operations of the Fire Pod. Assist in the set‑up, operations and tear down of any particular area which they may be assigned.

Duties

• Assist cooks in preparation and safe handling of food in mobile kitchen.
• Assist leads in any of the preparation and safe handling of food or beverages.
• Assist in the cleanliness of the serving, dining, preparation or any other area of the base camp.
• Serve meals.
• Wash dishes and perform other general and assigned cleaning tasks.
• Assist with camp set up and tear down.
• Assist with inventory and moving food supplies.
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Food service and food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
• Ability to effectively present information.
