MercyOne Medical Group is hiring a Food Service Worker in Waterloo, IA. This part-time role (0.2 FTE, 8 hours/week) supports patient meals, cafeteria and dining room services, and basic food prep.

You will also handle cashiering duties and stock rotation, working rotating shifts including weekends and holidays. The position emphasizes teamwork and courteous communication within MercyOne’s mission and values.

As a Food Service Worker at MercyOne, you will perform routine assignments in kitchen, cafeteria, and on patient floors. Performs food preparation as required, operates cash register, and receives, stores, and rotates supplies. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision, Values, and culture of MercyOne.

Schedule

General Requirements

• Ability to read, basic language, basic math, basic reasoning ability.
• Cashiering requires personal computer.
• Ability to work with others and communicate courteously and clearly.

Education

• High School diploma preferred but not required.
