This Food Service Worker position is located within the Nutrition & Food Service at the VA Medical Center in James J. Peters VAMC.
This position independently performs duties requiring proficiency in special procedures and broad knowledge of service operations, such as food and beverage preparation, modified diets, computer proficiency, dishwashing, dry and refrigerated storage, and safety and sanitation.

Duties
Major duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Work Schedule: 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm with rotating days off, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Effort and Work Conditions: Work is performed in kitchens with high temperatures and humidity from cooking and dishwashing. Workers are exposed to hot liquids, blades, surfaces, and temperature changes. Work requires light to moderate effort, with occasional heavy work such as scrubbing large utensils and pushing carts. Continuous standing, walking, and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending are required. Lifting objects up to 20 pounds unassisted, and occasionally over 40 pounds with assistance.

Qualifications
