Qualifications

• Mindestens ein Jahr Erfahrung in der Lebensmittelindustrie.

The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) at the Tulsa, OK VA Medical Center is seeking part-time Food Service Workers to provide quality service to our nation's veterans.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Makes coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, smoothies.
2. Prepares food items such as breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, wraps, pancakes, burritos, and more.
3. Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
4. Stores food properly to prevent spoilage.
5. Prepares a variety of foods according to customer orders or supervisor instructions, following approved procedures.
6. Will be exposed to hot and cold temperatures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to read instructions and perform basic arithmetic for food preparation
• At least one (1) year of experience in the food service industry
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend frequently
• Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted

Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is required for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP). This is a condition of employment unless exempted for medical or religious reasons.
