Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor for on-site work inside a jail/correctional facility. You will oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff, prepare and serve meals, and ensure adherence to recipes and nutrition guidelines.

You report to the Food Service Director and collaborate with the team to maintain quality and safety. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, are at least 18, and bring prior institutional food service experience.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and kitchen staff during food prep and service shifts.
• Serve food according to planned schedules and department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment to cook and portion food per recipes.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for staff and inmates.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.

About This Position

$18.00/hour + $500 new hire bonus

Schedule: 2:30am-11am

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
