Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff inside a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve a variety of meals, follow menus, and use commercial equipment to meet nutritional requirements.

The role requires weekend availability and a consistent Saturday-Wednesday schedule, 9:30am to 6pm, with Thursday and Friday off. On-site work and a strong emphasis on teamwork and food safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
• Experience in supervising teams in a food service setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inmate labor and kitchen team during food prep and service.
• Serve meals according to planned schedules and procedures.
• Use kitchen equipment to cook and portion meals per recipes and nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers and maintain a safe, healthy work environment.
• Maintain readiness for weekend and holiday shifts and on-site operations.

About This Position

Must be available to work some weekends and holidays

Schedule Sat - Wed 9:30am to 6pm with Thursday and Friday off.

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
