Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to manage inmate labor and oversee kitchen operations inside the Carteret County Jail. The role involves preparing and serving meals, training staff, and maintaining safety standards, with a $1,000 bonus potential and DailyPay options.

Ideal candidates have a passion for food service, knowledge of handling regulations, and flexibility to adapt to changing shifts. On-site work inside a correctional facility is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, and at least 21 years old.
• Preferred institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food and portion servings to meet nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

About This Position

This position is working inside a jail/correctional facility at the Carteret County Jail.

**We are offering a BONUS of up to $1,000!!**

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director.You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 21 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
