Job summary

Trinity Services Group seeks a Food Service Supervisor for an onsite role in a correctional facility. The position oversees inmate kitchen staff, ensures meals follow standard recipes, and maintains safety and sanitation during service.

You will report to the Food Service Director and work within the jail facility. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs. Training and career growth are emphasized.

About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor (Shift Supervisor) prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus. You will also use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and/or team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Assist inmate labor and/or team members in the preparation of a variety of food items following departmental work production standards, standardized recipes, and work instructions.
• Follow assigned facility housekeeping and safety practices in all preparation, oversight, and serving of correctional facility meals.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You’ll Need

Minimum Requirements

• We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• We require a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Preferred Requirements

• Prior institutional food service or restaurant, cafeteria experience is a plus, but not necessary.
• We prefer ServSafe® Food Handler certification.
• We offer an additional $0.25/hour with certification and we'll provide the training.
