Job Description

Reports To: Food Service Manager and Director of Food Service

Work Schedule: hours per day vary (between 4 to 5.75 hours per day; times vary (dependent upon location), school calendar year)

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assists in any area of food preparation and service in the school kitchen and cafeteria.
• Maintains kitchen and dining area in a safe and sanitary condition.
• Practices excellent customer service and is responsible for understanding federal and state procedures for claiming meals, including operation of the point of sale system.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Able to work cooperatively with fellow staff and children.
• Excellent Customer Service.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• School food service experience.
• Food safety training.
• Commercial kitchen equipment operation.
• Cashier experience.
• Excellent basic math skills.
• Must include resume and cover letter with online application.

Salary and Benefits
