Job summary

Avera Marshall Hospital in Marshall, MN is seeking a part-time hospital food service worker to support meal assembly, service, and cleanup. Day shifts run 6:00–1:30, 7:00–2:30, or 7:00–3:30; night shift is 4:30–7:30pm. The role focuses on quality meal preparation and timely service.

Responsibilities include item prep, serving per diet requirements, sanitation, stocking, and possible cash handling. Requires HS diploma or GED and 0–6 months food service experience. Equal opportunity employer.

• Serve food items in accordance with diet, specifications and menu requirements.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils, dishes, pots/pans, floor mats, floors and work areas following proper procedure.
• Stocks storerooms, refrigerators and work areas with supplies using first in, first out principle and appropriate dating.
• Operates dish machine and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• May work the register, close out register and counts money. Properly places money and money drawer in designated location.

A Brief Overview
