Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker in West Los Angeles to assist with meal prep, maintain records, and support daily reports. The role emphasizes food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should have barista experience, knowledge of food preparation and safety, and be able to comply with safety and sanitation standards. A Monday-Wednesday 6am-230pm schedule is typical, with additional shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a barista in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods and safety regulations.
• Ability to acquire food safety certification.
• Basic math and counting skills needed.
• Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication.
• Must be able to commute to West Los Angeles.
• Catering or bartending experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
• Serve food according to meal schedules and department policies
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
• Add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
• Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking/serving equipment
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage
• Adhere to the uniform policy
• Connect with the Manager daily to prepare the menu for the day
• Supervise the food temperature requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
• Follow procedures for cleanliness; sweeping, mopping, ware washing
• Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas clean
• Perform other duties in the kitchen as assigned
• Role may involve lifting, bending, pushing/pulling, extended walking/standing; PPE may be required

Job Description

The Food Service Worker will assist the manager with food/meal preparation; maintain cash receipts and meal records. Assist manager in completing daily reports. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $26.00 to $28.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

Experience as a barista in a related role required

Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage

Must be able to acquire food safety certification

Demonstrate basic math and counting skills

Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Must be able to commute to West Los Angeles (Santa Monica Adjacent)

Must be available to work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 6am -230pm and Thursdays and Fridays 6am -130pm

Must be able to work quickly and precisely under pressure

Catering and Bartending experience a plus.
