About This Position

• Must be available to work some weekends and holidays.

Schedule:

• 2 days per week, 12-hour shifts from 7am to 7pm.
• 2 days per week, 7-hour shifts from 1pm to 7pm.
• Three days off weekly.

The Food Service Supervisor supervises inmate labor and team members in a correctional facility's food service operation, preparing and serving food according to menus and work instructions, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards.

Essential Functions

• Supervise inmate labor and team members during food prep and service.
• Prepare and assist in food preparation following recipes and instructions.
• Ensure proper storage and sanitation of food.
• Serve food according to schedule and policies.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment properly.
• Follow all food safety regulations.
• Train other food service workers.
• Maintain cleanliness of work environment.
• Follow uniform policy.
• Manage garbage and keep kitchen clean.
• Ensure environment is ready for food prep and serving.
• Review portions and utensils for service.
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; at least 18 years old.
• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
