About the Position:

This position is located in the Directorate of Clinical Support, Nutrition Care, Food and Production Services at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, GA.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):

Ability to do the work of a(n) Food Service Worker ~ without more than normal supervision.

I have the ability to perform common tasks including serving and preparing food in a kitchen environment; cleaning cooking utensils to include mixing bowls pots and pans; and operating cash collection systems. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

• PHYSICAL EFFORT: The work requires the employee to lift items weighing up to 35 pounds; to bend, stoop, push, and pull heavy objects; and involves continuous standing, walking, and sitting. Must possess good eyesight and coordination for cash register and money-handling duties.
• WORKING CONDITIONS: Employee performs work in noisy kitchen and dining room areas and is subject to injuries from equipment used. There is exposure to dirt, grease, and water in cleaning tasks and exposure to extremes of temperature when bringing supplies from walk-in refrigerators and freezers.
