Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff inside a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve meals, follow menus and recipes, and ensure compliance with food safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, minimum 18 years of age, and a valid driver’s license. Previous institutional food service experience is preferred. We offer premium benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and kitchen team during food prep and service shifts.

• Promote a safe, healthy, and respectful workplace for staff and inmates.
• Stand, walk, bend, and lift as part of the job responsibilities.

About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food. You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions / Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
