Job summary

Canteen, part of Compass Group USA, is hiring for a seasonal FOOD SERVICE UTILITY at Delaware County Community College in Media, PA. The full-time schedule runs Monday-Thursday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Friday 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, with weekends off.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen areas, cleaning equipment, and supporting front-of-house setup. Previous utility and dishwasher experience is required, with a fixed pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous utility and dishwasher experience required.
• Seasonal/full-time food service role experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move supplies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas and keep equipment and utensils clean.
• Sweep and mop floors to meet sanitation standards.
• Wash tables, walls, refrigerators, and prep surfaces.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
• Load, unload, and deliver supplies and product.
• Distribute utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Follow sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Maintains kitchen work areas, and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sweeps and mops floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and places it into designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up.
• Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
