Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring immediately for a part-time Food Service Utility at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria, VA. The shift runs 12:30 pm to 8:30 pm, with days that may vary.

Prior dishwashing experience is preferred, and the fixed pay rate is $17.00 per hour. This role maintains kitchen work areas, sanitizes surfaces, cleans equipment, and supports meal service for patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas and keep equipment clean.
• Sweep and mop floors to meet safety standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other surfaces.
• Remove trash and handle disposal in designated containers.
• Assist with banquet setup and front-of-house tasks.
• Load, unload, and deliver supplies as needed.
• Distribute utensils and ensure sanitation compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Maintains kitchen work areas, and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Sweeps and mops floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.

Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.

Removes trash and places it into designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.

Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.

Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up.

Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.

Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.

Complies with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned.
