Job summary

Restaurant Associates at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC is seeking on-call Food Service Utility staff.

This role involves keeping kitchen work areas clean, sanitizing surfaces, and supporting banquet setup as needed; you may travel between sites. Schedule is on-call with hours varying; previous food service experience is required, and applicants should be prepared to work at multiple locations.

• Assists with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
• Assists with loading/unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distributes supplies and equipment as needed.
• Complies with sanitation and safety requirements.

• We have an opening for on call FOOD SERVICE UTILITY positions.
• Location: John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts - 2700 F Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20566. Note: online applications accepted only.

• Requirement: Previous food service experience is required.
• Additional Job Duties: Will be traveling between sites as needed.
• Pay Range: $21.00 per hour to $23.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Maintains kitchen work areas, and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and places it into designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up.
• Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
