Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services in Galveston, TX invites applicants for a FOOD SERVICE UTILITY (Full Time). The role maintains kitchen areas, cleans equipment, and supports safe food preparation in a busy campus dining operation.

The position offers full-time hours with varying shifts; you’ll work as part of a team focused on sanitation and service. Immediate hiring and competitive hourly pay are provided, with opportunities for growth within the dining program.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains kitchen work areas, and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly.
• Sweeps and mops floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and places it into designated containers; steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet table and front-of-house set up.
• Assists with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and products.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position: FOOD SERVICE UTILITY (Full Time)

Location: 1001 Texas Clipper Road, Galveston, TX 77554 (Note: online applications accepted only.)

Schedule: Full time; Sunday through Saturday; hours may vary. Details will be discussed during interview.

Requirements: Prior food service experience preferred but not required.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour.

Hiring Status: Immediately hiring.
