Gourmet Dining & Chartwells Higher Education in Poughkeepsie, NY is hiring a full-time Food Service Utility. You will maintain kitchen work areas, clean equipment, and stock supplies while adhering to safety standards.

This role requires prior food service, utility, and food safety experience, with willingness to handle check-in orders and rotate stock. The position offers consistent hours, an $18.25 per hour pay rate, and access to comprehensive benefits.

• Assists with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
• Loads/unloads and delivers supplies as needed.
• Distributes utensils and portable equipment as required.

• We are hiring immediately for a full time FOOD SERVICE UTILITY position.
• Location: Marist Murray - 3399 North Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time schedule; Tuesday through Saturday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior food service, utility, and food safety experience, along with check-in orders, and appropriately stock and rotate!
• Fixed Pay Rate: $18.25 per hour. Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available.

Job Summary

Summary: Maintains kitchen work areas, and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sweeps and mops floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and places it into designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up.
• Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
