Canteen, part of Compass Group, is hiring a full-time Food Service Utility in Durham, NC. The role supports kitchen cleanliness, equipment and prep surfaces, and front-of-house setup. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm, with a pay range of $15.00–$18.00 per hour. The job may require lifting up to 25–30 lbs and exposure to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and disposes of it properly; steam cleans or hoses garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet table and front of house setup.
• Assists with loading/unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned

• We are hiring immediately for a full time FOOD SERVICE UTILITY position.
• Location: AISIN - 4112 Old Oxford Road, Durham, NC 27712. Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Summary: Maintains kitchen work areas, and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Removes trash and places it into designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
