Compass Group USA, at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, is hiring for a Full Time Food Service Utility. The position is based on-site at 1 Grand Ave, San Luis Obispo, CA 93407, with a fixed pay rate of $19.00 per hour. Open availability preferred; hours may vary and interviews will provide details.

Prior food service experience is preferred. Responsibilities include maintaining clean kitchen areas, washing surfaces, transferring supplies, and assisting with setup and delivery of supplies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas and keep equipment clean.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators and prep surfaces.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
• Assist with loading/unloading and delivering supplies and products.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Maintains kitchen work areas, and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and places it into designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up.
• Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
