Job summary

Valley Hospital Medical Center, part of the Valley Health System, is seeking a dietary services team member to prepare patient trays and ensure accurate setup and timely delivery of meals to patients.

You will participate in maintaining high standards of patient care and food safety, supporting a clean and organized kitchen environment and collaborating with nursing staff to meet individualized dietary requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year general cleaning experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in food service preferred.
• Food Handler Safety Training Certification required prior to employment.

Job Description

This position is responsible for preparation of patient trays and accurate setup and delivery of patient meals to ensure quality service to patient for optimum health.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience: One year general cleaning experience is preferred. Customer service, meal preping and cleaning in a specialized food and beverage area's is preferred.

License/Certification: Current Food Handler Safety Training Certification must have prior to employment.

Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department. Must complywith all local and state regulatory agencies.
