Job summary

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is seeking a skilled Food Service Technician to maintain and repair electrical, gas, and refrigeration systems across the park, ensuring safe, reliable operation and guest satisfaction.

You will lead and coach fellow technicians, cover night shifts when needed, and support a comprehensive safety program while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA certification Type I, II, or Universal.
• Valid driver’s license.
• One year of experience in electrical, gas, and mechanical fields.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
• Knowledge of ANSI/NFPA/NEC; cross training in maintenance fields.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on electrical and gas appliances used in food preparation.
• Perform field repair of refrigeration systems across the park.
• Follow safe work habits and PPE usage.
• Provide excellent service to guests and team members.
• Cover night position when necessary.
• Lead and coach other Food Service Technicians.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Get To Do

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of commercial electrical and gas appliances used in food preparation.
• Perform field repair of refrigeration systems throughout the parks
• Consistently practices safe work habits including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe situations.
• Provide excellent service to guests and Team Members.
• Cover Night Position when necessary
• Serve as leader and coach to other Food Service Technicians
• Other duties as assigned.

What It Takes To Succeed

• At least 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• EPA certification Type I, II, or Universal
• Valid driver’s license
• One-year experience each in electrical, gas, and mechanical (Prefer commercial kitchen equipment).
• Basic mathematical skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language
• Working knowledge of ANSI and N.F.P.A. and possess cross training in other maintenance fields.
• Basic knowledge of N.E.C.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 to a maximum of 100 pounds.
• Able to provide your own basic hand tools (i.e. socket wrench, pliers, etc.)
• Willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays.
• Willing to comply with and ensure team members comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
• Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.

Compensation: 27.00 USD an Hour
