Job Summary

As a Food Service Technician, you will work as part of a team responsible for the disassembly, troubleshoot, diagnosis, cleaning, repair, and reassembly food service equipment. This role involves using various tools and techniques to ensure equipment is prepared for the next steps in the remanufacturing process. Techs can perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and may also rotate through all or most of the process rather than being assigned a specific task.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely disassemble and reassemble food service equipment using hand, power and air tools.
• Follow instructions based on customer and company requirements.
• Clean all components, replace parts as needed and refinish stainless steel.
• Work as part of a team to achieve daily goals.
• Test for proper operation and QC check.
• Assist with training and continuous improvement.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clear, safe, and orderly condition.
• Prepare and/or package finished equipment for shipping.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• Minimum age 18 years old.

Work Environment

• Work performed on cement floors in a warehouse environment.
• Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperature conditions, including heat, cold and humidity.
• Noise levels are typically moderate to high due to machinery, powered industrial equipment, and general warehouse operations.

Physical Requirements

• Repeated sitting, standing on cement floors, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting, carrying, up to 35 lbs.
• Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, twist, reach, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties.
• Continuous bending, kneeling squatting, grasping, reaching, fine manipulation and exposure to chemicals and noise.

Work Requirements
