TXB Stores in Crystal City, TX is hiring a Food Service Team Member to support the store team with food prep, customer service, and general duties. This role requires reliability, strong teamwork, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform cooking tasks, assist with food safety and sanitation, and help maintain clean stations while greeting guests. Training is provided; some weekend and evening shifts may be needed to cover store hours.

Formación

• No prior formal experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and serve foods (tacos, chicken, sides) per customer specifications.
• Provide menu information and respond to customer questions.
• Greet customers as they enter; maintain clean and sanitized workstations.
• Assist with food preparation and operate food production equipment as needed.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Support store team with cashier duties and customer service when required.
• Collaborate with team to achieve store goals and maintain a positive environment.

Job Summary:

The food service team member works in support of the store management team to facilitate the completion of all store level tasks and performs a variety of tasks related to different areas of the store including food preparation, possible cash register tasks, customer service, general housekeeping and other related functions. The food service team member ensures an exceptional customer experience that supports our purpose to “Leave ‘em Better”.

Essential Functions:

• Reliable transportation
• Abide by all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations/certifications.
• Be reliable, punctual, honest, and have a good attitude.
• Ability to operate cooking and food preparation equipment.
• Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Knowledgeable about company’s products and services, and customer-related policies.

• Prepares and serves foods such as tacos, chicken, and sides according to customer specifications.
• Provides menu information and suggestions to customers including food suggestions and explanations of ingredients and preparation methods.
• Assists with food preparation as directed, operating food production equipment as required to complete tasks.
• Operates grill, broiler, or deep-fat fryer to prepare specific fast foods.
• Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes work stations.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other containers and returns to appropriate location in the kitchen area.
• Refills condiments or other supplies.
• Follows all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Ensure the proper execution of all assigned store level marketing programs.
• Replenish products and supplies to ensure in stock conditions at all times.
• Check in external and internal vendors according to corporate procedures.
• Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resource.

Qualifications: Experience, Competencies, and Education

• Education and Experience:
  • No prior experience is necessary
  • Successful completion of on-the-job training.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
  • May be required work in excessive heat and cold in association with the kitchen environment.
