Job Description

We are hiring full-time Food Service Supervisors to join our passionate Food Services Team at Morehead State University. In this role, you will work alongside a manager to coordinate and oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and collaborate with team members to ensure quality service. This is an excellent opportunity to grow professionally and contribute to a dynamic team environment.

Job Responsibilities

1. Produce and maintain work schedules; prepare production sheets and recipes.
2. Direct daily activities of the food service operations.
3. Ensure food safety and quality in accordance with policies and procedures.
4. Store food items safely and maintain an organized, hazard-free environment.
5. Maintain serving schedules and ensure food is served per menu specifications following company policies.
6. Maintain a sanitary environment complying with health and safety codes.
7. Keep accurate inventory records weekly.
8. Prepare orders as needed for accurate production.
9. Supervise, evaluate, and mentor employees; promote teamwork and morale.
10. Maintain a safe working environment.
11. Perform equipment maintenance logs and preventative checks.
12. Ensure all food safety logs are completed with corrective actions when necessary.
13. Recommend equipment replacements to meet facility needs.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director or Manager.
15. Fill in for absent employees as needed.
16. Coordinate and prepare for catering events, including occasional night and weekend work.
17. Attend staff meetings and communicate effectively with team members.
18. Perform cashier duties if required.
19. Promote positive public relations.
