Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen operations inside a correctional facility in Globe, AZ. You will prepare and serve a variety of food items following provided instructions and menus, and ensure meals meet nutritional requirements.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and a commitment to safety. A high school diploma or GED and at least 18 years old are required, with prior institutional food service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and you are at least 18 years old.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to work onsite in a jail/correctional facility and manage inmate labor.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and kitchen team during food prep and service.
• Serve meals according to planned schedules and procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment to cook and portion food per recipes and nutrition needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for staff and inmates.
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, and standing for long periods.
• Be able to stand for much of the shift.
• Other duties as required.

About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director.You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
