Job summary

Trinity Services Group is hiring a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen operations inside a jail/correctional facility. You will manage staff, prepare and serve meals, and follow menus and recipes with safety and quality in mind.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (18+), weekend/holiday availability, and prior institutional food service experience preferred. 6:00am–3:00pm shifts, with some days starting as early as 3:00am. Competitive benefits included.

Responsibilities

• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.

About This Position

• Must be able to work: 6:00am - 3:00pm (coming in as early as 3:00am some days)***This does include some weekends and holidays***

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
