Job summary

Windom Area Schools is seeking Food Service Substitutes to assist with food preparation, the serving of food, the washing of dishes and pans, and the general cleaning of the kitchen/serving area. Substitute work shifts are approximately 2.5-3.5 hours; wages start at $14.04 per hour with additional pay based on total hours worked monthly (+0.75 per hour over 20 hours; +1.50 per hour over 30 hours).

The following 2025-2026 union contract details apply and may be adjusted when the new contract is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to three years of experience in the school food service program preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a job-related field.

• Additional pay based on total number of hours worked monthly:

Over 20 hours- + $0.75/per hour; Over 30 hours- + $1.50/per hour

The following hourly range is based on the 2025-2026 school year union contract; these amounts will be subject to change/increase once the new contract is settled.
