Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist the manager with meal preparation, sanitation, and record-keeping in a correctional kitchen environment. You will help complete daily reports, ensure quality, and follow safety protocols while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.

You will handle food preparation, portion control, and equipment use, while adhering to uniform and PPE requirements. The role may involve physical tasks and variable hours.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure.
• Sufficient education or training to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal and ensure accurate storage of food.
• Serve food according to meal schedules and department policies.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Ensure timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages.
• Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage.
• Follow uniform policy and PPE requirements.
• Communicate daily with the Manager to plan day's menu.
