Aramark is seeking a Food Service Supervisor for The Launch location on Brandon Ave, UVA-Brandon Ave in Charlottesville, VA. The role involves supervising food service operations, guiding the team, and ensuring quality and safety on the line.

The position offers an hourly wage of $18.00–$20.00, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options. No fixed application window; opportunities to grow within a large hospitality services company.

Qualifications

• Great customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Serve Safe Certification required.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Frequent lifting/transporting hot food items.
• Comfortable working in a kitchen with heat, steam, loud noise and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of and assist in preparation of food items for the day.
• Set up and break down stations as directed by the manager.
• Cook and prepare foods according to recipes and directions.
• Use accurate portions when preparing and serving items.
• Maintain daily temperature logs.
• Take samples of all food items before serving.
• Alert management to any quality issues.
• Complete opening and closing station checklists.
• Greet customers and collect feedback on service quality.
• Maintain a clean work station and sanitize utensils.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste from the line.
• Move supplies between storage and work areas.
• Report safety hazards to management.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed.
• Support concessions, catering, and events as required.
• Lead line staff to ensure timely service; coordinate sanitation as needed.
