Job summary

Qualifications

• Food Service Certificate as needed.
• Ability to read, write and follow written instructions.
• Ability to work quickly and calmly under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal and ensure proper portioning.
• Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner.
• Serve food according to meal schedules and department policies.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages.
• Add garnishments to enhance presentation and customer happiness.
• Coordinate and assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation and handling.
• Follow uniform policy and PPE requirements.
• Communicate with the Manager daily to prepare the menu for the day.
• Monitor food temperature and maintain a clean work area.
