Job summary

IKEA in Pittsburgh is hiring a Food Service Team Member to ensure operational excellence of IKEA Food. You will prepare menu items, assist customers, and support sales with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The role requires 2+ years in a related setting and a Food Handler Certification within 30 days of employment. Open availability Monday–Sunday 8AM–8PM with full benefits for eligible coworkers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related experience.
• Experience in high-volume customer facing environment preferred.
• Experience in high-volume retail with merchandising knowledge preferred.
• Food Handler Certification required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept.
• Respond to customer inquiries to support informed purchases and process sales transactions.
• Maintain equipment operation and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a clean supply of dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and trays.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas.
• Oversee merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and sanitation of the Swedish Food Market.
• Ensure accurate price communication across all food solutions, including digital platforms and boards.
• Maintain FIFO stock rotation and adhere to expiration dates.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
• Contribute to a diverse IKEA culture.
