Job summary

Great Western Dining Service is seeking a Food Service Director to lead operations at Grayson College in Denison, TX. You will plan, organize, and direct daily food service activities, ensuring quality nutrition, safety, and compliance with standards while maintaining a clean, sanitary environment.

You will hire and supervise staff, manage budgets and menus, obtain Serv Safe, and collaborate with residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience directing food service in hospitality or health care.
• Ability to follow approved recipes and therapeutic diets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Hire, evaluate, coordinate, motivate, monitor performance, schedule and supervise staff.
• Plan, prepare, present and deliver all meals served within the property.
• Maintain budget, inventory and portion controls and operate within budget guidelines.
• Maintain sanitary work environment and comply with local codes and policies.
• Order all food within budget guidelines and maintain inventories.
• Develop culinary procedures to ensure timely and proper temperature of meals.
• Engage with students/residents to tailor the program to preferences.
• Ensure coverage during absences and present a professional image.
