Job summary

ShopRite of Emerson in EMERSON, NJ is seeking a Food Service Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service, assist in daily food preparation, and maintain a clean, safe department. You will handle salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and entrees according to recipes and store standards.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 60 lbs occasionally, and working in varying temperatures, while collaborating with coworkers to meet store goals and service priorities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak English and interpret information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Sanitize work surfaces, utensils, and equipment per QA standards.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Stock and rotate products; keep shelves and displays in good condition.
• Prepare products (salads, sandwiches, pizza, entrees) per recipes and standards.
• Ensure proper temperatures in display cases and storage areas.
• Follow procedures for receiving, storing, and dating products.
• Report equipment problems and maintain signage on items.
