Job summary

Side Street Food Service is seeking an Entry Level Food Service Attendant for day shift operations at the Day Early Learning program. You will assist with on-time meal service, monitor inventory, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support program requirements for children aged infant to 3 years.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic knowledge of food service sanitation, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Organize and count inventory.
• Prep and set up for food service.
• May include chopping, slicing, and dicing of food items.
• Serving food with accurate serving sizes.
• Complete cleaning tasks per daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
• Wipe walls and equipment, sweep/mop floors as needed.
• Check bathrooms and restock supplies.
• Ensure proper food handling and safety.

General Description

Food Service Attendants provide excellent customer service by providing on time meal service, monitoring product inventories, kitchen cleanliness, and other program requirements for infant to 3yr students.

High School Diploma/GED required

Knowledge of food service and sanitation; or willing to acquire said knowledge

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs

Must be a team player

Capable of following written and verbal instructions

Must have a passion for working with children

Able to work in a fast paced environment

Must be able to stand for a prolonged period of time

Must pass a Federal Background Check

Responsibilities

• - Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm


• Organize and count inventory


• Prep and set up for food service


• May include chopping, slicing, and dicing of food items.


• Serving food in accordance with strict serving sizes.


• Complete cleaning tasks based on daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule

Daily Tasks Include

• Wiping walls by the tilt skillets


• Sweep and mop (when applicable) kitchen and common area floors (Main Office, Conference Room, etc.)


• Wipe down ovens


• Check bathrooms and restock as needed


• Ensure all trash cans are emptied and bags replaced.


• Clean and sanitize dishes between meal service
