Job summary

New York State Office of Mental Health is seeking a Food Service Worker 1 to help serve meals and maintain clean dining areas within a care facility. The role may involve medium to heavy physical effort, tray preparation, cart transport, and some light food preparation.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and maintain clean and orderly dining areas.
• Assist in preparing trays and transporting food carts to serving areas.
• Return used dishes and equipment to dishwashing areas; assist with some food prep.
• Participate in sanitation activities and help ensure residents are fed properly.
