Job summary

El Tigre Food Stores / Tex Best Travel Centers seeks a Food Service Associate to perform food service, prep, serving, and stocking while upholding health codes and customer satisfaction.

You will work in a retail environment, follow policies, maintain cleanliness, and provide friendly service to customers, vendors and associates. Benefits include flexible schedules, training, competitive pay, advancement, and 401K match.

Qualifications

• Experience with food preparation and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in a food service environment.
• Food Handlers Permit, or Food Safety Certification.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food products according to established recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
• Follow all Company Policies and Established Procedures in the deli operation.
• Perform all regular cleaning and sanitation activities to deli kitchen equipment, floors, mats, walls, hoods, and food storage areas.
• Keep work and service area in a safe, sanitary, and orderly manner.
• Provide professional and friendly assistance to customers, vendors, and other Associates.

The Food Service Associate performs food service functions, including preparation/serving of food items and stocking of supplies. They are responsible for maintaining State & Federal health codes, customer satisfaction and accurate work results that are noticeable by the customer (i.e., food quality, wholesomeness, presentation, merchandising, portion control and maintenance of departmental food standards).
